Emily Esfahani Smith is managing editor of the Hoover Institution journal, Defining Ideas and Associate Editor at The New Criterion. A recent Dartmouth College graduate, she was editor of the conservative college newspaper, The Dartmouth Review. She is author of the forthcoming book, Pop-Feminism at Dartmouth: The Downside of Hooking Up (Smith & Kraus Publishers, Fall 2012). Her writings have also appeared in The Wall Street Journal, The Weekly Standard, The American Spectator Online, and National Review Online.

Louis Tucker is the CEO of Mission Sync, a national security consulting firm. He is also on George Washington University’s Counterterrorism Task Force and advises intelligence/defense principals. Previously, he has served as a chief of staff and a staff director in the United States Senate, where, on the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, he led a team of legal, policy and intelligence professionals overseeing the $80B+ operations of the Intelligence Community. Louis is a Navy Reserve Sea, Air, Land (SEAL) Commander who last mobilized on active duty from June-December 2009 to serve under General Stanley McChrystal; he also served several years as a Central Intelligence Agency officer. Louis graduated from Dartmouth College in 1995 with a B.A. in History and earned a Master’s of Science in Strategic Intelligence from the National Intelligence University in 2006. Louis lives in McLean, Virginia, with his wife Jane-Anne and their three sons.
